There has been much debate over whether this classic should be remade. In fact, Judd Nelson and Molly Ringwald, who played John and Claire respectively, said that a remake of The Breakfast Club wouldn't work for different reasons. That being said, The Breakfast Club could have benefited from a remake as the film had some toxic footage.
